Learn about Flags for First-Graders

Flags for First Graders teaches first-grade students the importance, etiquette and history of the American flag.
Volunteers from 40/8, an independent fraternal organization of veterans, appear at elementary schools by invitation and present the short lesson.
The program concludes with the first-graders receiving a small flag of their own and a coloring book that reflects what they have learned.
Made possible through donations, the presentations are about 20 minutes long and allow for the students to participate while learning.
