Letter to the Editor helps locate post items

A letter to the editor in the Lorain Morning Journal recently made me curious.
The letter asked the whereabouts of the colors, rifles and memorabilia of the Polish Legion of American Veterans Post 38, that once stood on West 38th Street in Lorain.
With that letter Stephen Bansek of Lorain was able to locate the items for the PLAV and will be collecting them from a past commander that had them stored in his basement for safekeeping.
“Those are historical items,” said Department Commander Michael Polichuk.
Polichuk stressed the importance of  post history and the need of to get younger members interested and active in the organization to keep the group viable into the future. The items will be returned to Polichuk at his home post PLAV Post 58 on Professor Avenue in Cleveland.
